Kashmiri protesters throw stones and rubble at Indian policemen during an antipoll protest in Srinagar. Sparatist leaders, most of them locked up or under house arrest, have called for a boycott of the sevenstage state polls, saying New Delhi portrayed voting as an endorsement of its rule over the Kashmir region. Srinagar goes to polls in the seventh and last phase on December 24.
