What’s in Thai Cuisine

Just as all types of culinary in the world have been identified by a particular term, Tahi cuisine has always been described as “exotic” while French cuisine is “romantic” and American food is viewed as “junk”.

But what’s amazing about Thai food is the ingredients. Proclaimed to be one of the world’s healthiest foods, Thai cuisine mixes meat with healthy vegetables and spices.

And this November, visitors to Le Grandeur Mangga Dua Hotel can enjoy authentic Thai food through its cooperation with Siam City Hotel Bangkok, bringing chef Amornrat Sae-Heng to town.

Together with Yudi Yahya, Le Grandeur’s cook, Amornrat will hold a cooking class called “Secret of Thai” for guests, exhibiting his skills in cooking dishes like Lee La Wa Dee Chop Pang Tod (deep fried Lee La Wa Dee flower with Chicken) and Gai Hor Bai Tuay (deep fried chicken wrapped in Pandanus leaf).

By paying Rp 110,000, each guess can join the class and enjoy a Thai buffet for lunch. A certificate, gift and a copy of the recipe will also be given in addition to an opportunity to win a return ticket to Bangkok.
